Back from the quiet with a new stress test.
It's been a while since I've put out any news, so here's where things stand. On the legal side, the deadline passed for Embark Studios to request another extension of time to oppose the ARCDROP trademark. I haven't heard anything back yet, and I'm choosing to read that as good news. From here it's just a matter of waiting out however long the delay is before I find out what the actual decision was.
No news on the mark since the extension window closed. Waiting on the ruling.
Meanwhile, development kept moving, and there's a fresh build to break. This one's a stress test. No intros this time, you drop straight in. It's not the same environment as before, just a similar one: small and empty. What's new is better lasers and a working day/night cycle, sped up well past real time for demonstration and to push the renderer harder.
Poke around, shoot things, watch the light change. The point is to load the systems up and see where they strain.

Inventory preview
There's an in-progress inventory system included in this build. Press I to open it. Enter toggles between your SHELL Anchored and Compact, and you can only change equipped PODS while it is Compact.
Some aspects work and some don't. It's only a work-in-progress preview. A full inventory and equipment system will be the focus of the next build.
After you play, the metrics file
After each playthrough, ARCDROP writes a metrics text file to your desktop. Feel free to open it and look it over, it holds some information about how your system handled the build.
If you're willing to send it my way, it's genuinely helpful. You can email the ArcDROPMetrics.txt text file directly, or, if you'd rather not send a file, just copy and paste the text into an email instead. Whatever you're comfortable with.
